KATO vs DJ JOSÈ feat. JON
KATO
Discolized
1st single: Turn The Lights Off
2nd single: Hey Shorty
Since the age of 12 has been determined to conquer the world of music and Dj’ing. Now after 16 years of continuing progress, he has taken over his first territory, Denmark. With 2 no. 1 singles in 4 months in the Danish charts, both reaching platinum status, a massive hype is around his act, in his home country. This is the big break he’s been fighting for all those years and now “The Greatest Dane” is hungry for more.
Most of Europe is about to release his debut single and with a packed tour calendar containing gigs all over Europe, Africa and in the far ends of Russia no one will be able to avoid his unmistakable talent this year… And no one is gonna want to.
By the end of 2010, everybody will be “Discolized”…
The first single was a rework of the DJ Jose track “Turn The Lights Off”, which he did in cooperation with DJ Jose himself and vocalist Jon Noergaard. The smash single has had an almost instant impact everywhere it has been released, with a peak position as #2 on the joint Scandinavian Dance Chart. Due to the broad musical appeal it has rotated heavily on most radios in the achieved territories. “Turn The Lights Off” is predicted by many respected DJ’s to become one of the biggest hits this summer in southern Europe.
While Kato’s first single is taking off in the rest of Europe, his second single “Hey Shorty” rapidly demolished the every player on the charts in Denmark. Going straight to the #1 position on the Danish dance chart and staying there for 8 weeks.
The Scandinavian release of the KATO debut “Discolized” went straight to #1 on iTunes. A good explanation is that it’s a big range album, from straight up club tracks like “My House” and “Crowd Control” to feel-good tracks like “Desert Walk” with the Danish hip-hop group Outlandish. Another rework is the “It’s My Life” track which features original artist Dr. Alban and features Tony T (R.I.O.) and Carlprit (Cascada). The title track “Discolized” is sung by the always amazing American house sensation Terri B.
Kato just finished a remix of the official German World Championship anthem “Helele” by the Danish drumboys Safri Duo, whom like a lot of other local and international stars has been lining up to collaborate with him. One thing is for sure; 2010 is Kato’s year!
